EXCELLENT Based on 110 reviews Sucheta Khurana22/05/2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently completed my Yoga Teacher Training at Rishikesh Yoga Valley (April 2025), and it was truly a life-changing experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, seen, and supported by an incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate team of teachers. The small group size created an intimate, personalized learning environment where I could ask questions freely, receive 1:1 guidance, and connect deeply with both the teachings and my peers. If you’re someone curious about yoga, and traditional Indian wisdom, I couldn’t recommend a better place to begin your journey. The teachers at Rishikesh Yoga Valley don’t just share knowledge, they embody it. Their passion is felt in every class. They meet you where you are, gently challenging you to grow while holding space for your unique path. What made this experience even more special was the strong sense of community. We shared every meal like family, supporting one another through the ups and downs of the training. We often stayed after class to learn more about Ayurveda, yoga philosophy, life in Rishikesh, and each other's stories. When I fell sick during the training, everyone cared for me, bringing me coconuts, preparing light meals for my stomach, and checking in daily. It reminded me how healing simple acts of love can be. The curriculum itself was rich and expansive. Beyond asana and alignment, we dove deeply into pranayama, Ayurveda, and yogic lifestyle. I learned about body types (doshas), how to build a daily routine aligned with nature, and was introduced to healing Ayurvedic and yogic therapies like neti, trataka, and abhyanga. I came to realize that yoga is not just about holding poses, but a way of living, a path to wholeness, and a tool to heal the body, mind, and spirit. There were so many highlights: yoga by the Ganga River, colorful evenings in Tapovan market, attending the infamous ghat aarti, the quiet magic of early morning practices BUT the most unforgettable moment for me was visiting our teacher’s home in the mountains. We cooked meals outdoors, using local, organic ingredients, slept under the stars, and woke to a breathtaking sunrise. We learned about Garhwali culture and what life used to be like in the village. As someone born in India but raised in Canada, this journey was deeply emotional, a profound homecoming and reconnection to my roots. Rishikesh is widely known as the heart of yoga, but Rishikesh Yoga Valley offers something rare: clean, nourishing food, heart-centered teachers, authentic and cultural teachings and a space that truly feels like home. I didn’t just walk away with a certificate, I left with a renewed sense of self, beautiful friendships, and the clarity to live and teach from the heart. Thank you, Kamal Ji and the entire team at Rishikesh Yoga Valley. I’m so grateful and hope to be back soon! Their deep wisdom and passion for yoga go far beyond the physical practice—they guided us through a journey of self-discovery, balance, and inner peace. Located in the peaceful and spiritual heart of Laxman Jhula, the school offers the perfect setting to immerse yourself in yoga. Just a two-minute walk to Mother Ganga, surrounded by the mountains and close to local markets, Tapovan, and the sacred evening Ganga Aarti, it’s a place where you can truly connect with nature, culture, and spirituality. A personal highlight for me was the hike to a nearby mountain village, where we were lovingly hosted by Kamal Ji’s family. Their hospitality and the serenity of the village created the most peaceful space to study for our YTTC exams. It was an experience I will cherish forever. The school facilities were equally impressive—my room was quiet, clean, and had a stunning view of the Ganga. Waking up to the sound of peacocks after a restful sleep in a comfortable bed felt like a dream. We were nourished daily with delicious Ayurvedic meals that supported our bodies and minds throughout the training. The yoga hall was spacious, had a deeply spiritual atmosphere, and was fully equipped with high-quality yoga props including mats, blocks, and bolsters—everything we needed to practice safely and comfortably. But what made this journey truly unforgettable were the deep connections formed with fellow students and teachers. We grew together, supported each other, and created a strong, inspiring bond that I will carry with me along my yoga practice and forever in my hearth. If you are looking for a place that combines authentic yoga teachings with genuine care, spiritual depth, and a nurturing environment, then I strongly recommend to start this journey at Rishikesh Yoga Valley. It’s not just a school—it’s a home, a sanctuary, and a powerful beginning to a lifelong journey. The sessions were well-structured, combining asanas, pranayama, and meditation in a balanced way that left me feeling refreshed and grounded each day. The teachers were knowledgeable, supportive, and created a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere that made it easy to immerse myself in the practice. One of the highlights for me was the food – the sattvic meals were not only nourishing but also incredibly delicious. Every meal felt thoughtfully prepared and aligned perfectly with the retreat’s focus on holistic well-being. The serene setting, away from daily distractions, allowed me to reconnect with myself and find much-needed clarity and calm. Highly recommended for anyone looking to deepen their yoga practice and enjoy a few days of mindful living. Firstly I don't know which city or which school should be join to learn yoga but after searching through online and based on review I decided to go Rishikesh which is also known as land of God, then I came to rishikesh to learn yoga. I joined for 200hour YTTC in Rishikesh Yoga Valley.... After joining this school I understand the real meaning of yoga and what is the benefits of yoga in our daily life. All teachers of Rishikesh yoga Valley are good and have good knowledge and experience of yoga.... especially pointed kamal sir who teaches us Hatha yoga.He has lots of experience about hatha yoga and the way of his teaching is awsm.Kamal sir is very supportive and helpful for their students. And the other teacher Gopal sir is very generous person who taught us prayanam and meditation....... through practice of pranayam I feel very good and feel very positive energy.Rakhi mam who teaches us yoga anatomy, she is very kind .She teached us that how the anatomy works in yoga. And Ramit sir teaches us Yoga Philosophy ,sir is very polite , humble and supportive. In starting I don't know a single thing about yoga philosophy but now this is my fvrt topic.I really want to say this school is awsm and good for learning yoga. After learning you can make a Good career in yoga... without any hesitation.♥️ Maria Paula Rodriguez Sarmiento26/04/2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I completed my 200-hour training at Rishikesh Yoga Valley in March, and it was an amazing experience. At the beginning, I was unsure about joining due to persistent neck pain I had been dealing with for the past few months. I asked Kamal Ji from the start if it would be possible for me to join, and he assured me that I was capable and that there would be no risks for my neck. This turned out to be exactly the case, and I ended the month pain-free. Both Harshita Ji and Kamal Ji made sure I felt good throughout, advising me on Ayurveda oils, natural supplements, and constantly checking in on how I was feeling, while also being mindful of the postures I needed to skip during a few classes. This really shows the personal approach they have towards each student. It also helps that they don't take in as many students as other schools, creating an environment that feels like family. During our training, we were mostly just four students. I enjoyed learning Hatha asanas, especially the detailed alignment classes with Kamal Ji, where we broke down each asana to correct ourselves and others. I learned a lot in anatomy and Ayurveda with Harshita Ji, who always brought energy and a smile to class. I also discovered Ashtanga and loved the process of growth through the very well-explained classes of Rohit Ji, and I really enjoyed the pranayama sessions with Gopal Ji, who always shared his knowledge while caring for our emotional experiences during practice. By the end, it truly felt like a friendship with these beautiful people. The accommodation was basic but had everything you need, with a lovely view of the mountains. The food was generally very tasty and diverse, and I enjoyed it every day. Personally, I would have liked a bit more protein in the breakfasts and dinners. One area that could be improved is the 200-hour manual. I found it wasn’t detailed enough—we were expected to complete tasks in the exam without enough written tools (such as cues, images, etc) so I had to rely on the internet or another 300h batchmate's manual. I mention this to give an honest review and to highlight something I believe could enhance the experience even further. However, this is minimal compared to all the positive aspects of the school and the beautiful learning and growth you can experience there. I would definitely recommend it to other practitioners. Thank you to all the RYV family! Bely Espino19/04/2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Hola desde España! I just left Rishikesh Yoga Valley and words can’t fully express how grateful I am. I did the 7 days retreat and add an extra one so 8 wonderful days filled with love, wisdom and laughter. What Kamal has created there was exactly what my soul needed — a peaceful sanctuary surrounded by kind-hearted people, incredibly healthy and delicious food, and inspiring yoga, Ayurveda, philosophy and breathing classes. I’ve learned so much from all of you and deeply enjoyed our adventures — from the treks and temple visits to our moments in the mountains. But above all, what I treasure the most is the companionship I found there. There’s something truly magical about Rishikesh and that magic was beautifully magnified in this retreat. I now feel like I have a second home, and I can’t wait to come back. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! If you’re thinking about going to Rishikesh for a retreat or to deepen your yoga journey, I can’t recommend this place enough. Namaste. I cannot thank Rishikesh Yoga Valley enough specially KAMALJI for the incredible impact it has had on my health and well-being. I joined with the hope of finding some relief for my varicose veins and to lose some weight — and the results have been truly amazing. The yoga sessions here are thoughtfully designed, deeply healing, and led by knowledgeable instructors who genuinely care about every student. Within weeks, I noticed a significant reduction in the discomfort caused by my varicose veins. The poses and practices they guided me through helped improve my circulation, and I feel lighter, more flexible, and more energetic every day. Not only has this experience helped me manage a condition I’ve struggled with for years, but I’m also steadily losing weight and gaining a stronger connection to my body and mind. If you’re looking for authentic, effective, and holistic yoga guidance, I highly recommend Rishikesh Yoga Valley. This place is a blessing! l r08/04/2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had the pleasure of attending drop-in classes at Rishikesh Yoga Valley last december and i can honestly say that it was an wonderful experience. The lessons were not only educational but also highly professional, with excellent guidance throughout. Despite not being part of their YTT program, i was warmly welcomed from the moment i arrived. After class, i was invited to sit down for a cup of tea with the rest of the class and engage in lovely conversations about life, food and culture. The experience didn't end there— I was also invited to join them for a delicious, freshly prepared, and healthy breakfast, which we enjoyed in the sun on the lovely rooftop terrace. Kamal (and Harshita) are two incredibly skilled, warm-hearted, and kind individuals. Their hospitality made me feel truly at home and i am deeply grateful for the kindness they showed me during my visit. Every day i continue to cherish the positive memories and the feeling of being so welcomed. If you're looking for a genuine and enriching yoga experience, i highly recommend Rishikesh Yoga Valley.
